restlesness

Haunting. That's what I call it: haunting, Beautiful and haunting. The story that unfolds itself, repeating itself, these female voices, several voices, that creep from somewhere (where?), they are... haunting. A woman without no face, is she there? Mere ghost that crosses the garden, the castle, us. Living in the words, these words spoken softly but in a pervasive, restless tone. No,it's not the voices that are restless, it's the listener that gets restless. It really surprised me, never heard something like it (oh, you innocent one). Very beautiful indeed. In a dark, stained way...

Time distortion

What is most remarkable is the slight differences in sense created by the subtle tiling of voices. My perception is less affected by the narrators' acting than by the rhythms of speech: there is only one story but four times to tell it, four pulses that fold and unfold the story. As this 'distortion of time' is very well done, the four languages treatment is never tedious.
